My Therapy approach
Venecia (Vee) DeRoose, LCSW, is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a
diverse educational background, including an MSW from Nazareth University and a
Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. With extensive experience supporting
children, adolescents, and adults across home, school, and community settings, Vee
specializes in helping clients navigate trauma, anxiety, and depression. Her approach is
deeply informed by her unique life experiences, including her years of service in the
U.S. military.
Vee’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in empowerment and cultural awareness. She is
committed to meeting clients where they are, creating a safe, judgment-free space to
explore challenges and develop creative solutions. Trained in Dialectical Behavior
Therapy (DBT), she provides clients with tangible mindfulness and calming techniques
to regulate intense emotions. By utilizing a strengths-based perspective, she assists
individuals in setting achievable goals that lead to healthier, more productive life
choices.
As a mother of two, Vee brings a compassionate understanding of the complexities of
parenthood and the weight of major life transitions. She balances her clinical expertise
with a warm, relatable presence, ensuring her clients feel supported through every
stage of their journey. When she isn’t in the office, Vee enjoys recharging with her
family, whether they are swimming, camping, playing softball and basketball
together.
