Meet Kim
My Therapy approach
My practice is grounded in holistic, client-centered, and strengths-based counseling approaches. I recognize the interconnected nature of mental and physical well-being and work collaboratively with clients to address challenges across multiple aspects of life. I am a firm believer that you are the expert in your own life; my role is to provide professional guidance and support as you navigate difficult transitions and work toward meaningful change. By focusing on your strengths and capabilities, I help you build resilience, overcome self-imposed limitations, and achieve a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Central to my holistic approach is the integration of lifestyle wellness research, incorporating the core pillars of lifestyle medicine: sleep, nutrition, movement, stress management, social connection, and avoidance of risky substances. These evidence-based principles serve as foundational elements in supporting sustainable mental and physical health.
I have recently expanded my practice to include ecotherapy, also known as nature therapy, as a specialized offering through Brave North Therapy. This approach encompasses nature-based individual sessions and therapeutic groups that leverage the proven benefits of outdoor environments to enhance mental health, physical well-being, and cognitive functioning.
My goal is to empower you through life’s transitions, helping you transform aspirations into reality and cultivate a happier, healthier life. I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive therapeutic environment where you can grow to your full potential.
When I’m not in session, I enjoy reading and exploring the outdoors through camping, hiking, kayaking, and skiing.
